The energy was electric on Monday afternoon as HODC and Northpointe Development celebrated Taylor Place Apartments with McHenry! The event marked a significant milestone in Community Development Week for McHenry County and included a surprise announcement by Congressman Bill Foster who shared his recent proclamation about the project that he read into the Congressional Record.

As Congressman Foster highlighted in his recent proclamation, Taylor Place Apartments is more than just a construction project – it’s a symbol of hope. These 50 affordable housing units will provide much-needed security and stability for residents in McHenry, Illinois. The project itself is a testament to McHenry County’s forward-thinking in supporting HODC and Northpointe Development on this project that will incorporate the adaptive reuse of the historic Old Feed Mill into four townhome units, seamlessly blending the area’s rich past with a bright future.

Collaboration is Key

Monday’s groundbreaking ceremony was a true celebration of collaboration. Congressman Foster’s recognition underscores the dedication of everyone involved, from the developers and architects to local officials and community members who championed this initiative. HODC would like to give a huge shoutout to Northpointe Development for their incredible partnership in making Taylor Place Apartments a reality!
