Hanover Landing - Elgin, IL

Hanover Landing is a 40-unit, amenity-rich Permanent Supportive Housing development that serves residents living with disabilities—all of whom live independently.

Resident services offered include case management, life skills training, and employment assistance. Optional services offered to tenants are tailored to meet the needs of the individual. The development’s service coordinator works with local agencies and organizations to deliver both on-site and off-site community-based services.

The development is the result of years of advocacy and planning on behalf of vulnerable populations in the community by the Hanover Township Board of Trustees. They established a housing task force to research and analyze housing opportunities within the Township, and the task force recognized a high need for service-enriched housing for its residents with disabilities and special needs. There is currently an enormous shortage of housing options for such residents and existing waitlists for supportive housing are long.
