Poupard Place is a new construction 48-unit apartment building in Northbrook. The development was made possible by the Village of Northbrook donating the land to HODC.
This supportive housing project will be home to low income households and persons who have a disability or households with a family member who has a disability. Rents will be affordable to households earning less than 60% of area median income (AMI). One bedroom rents will start at $700. Two bedroom rents will start at $900, and three bedroom rents will start at $1,100.
Construction on the four-story building is projected to begin in April of 2025 with completion in April 2026.
This property is located near a variety of restaurants, shops, and amenities, including a grocery store, public library, medical facility, schools and parks. It is also near a Pace Bus line and the Metra station. The surrounding area offers a robust job market, with opportunities in diverse sectors such as education, construction, manufacturing, healthcare, social assistance, transportation, and warehousing.
Poupard Place is being developed by Housing Opportunity Development Corporation with Skender Construction (contractor) and Cordogan, Clark & Associates (architect).
All apartments will include energy star kitchen appliances, ceiling fans, and window treatments. HODC will manage the property and coordinate any needed supportive services with local service agency partners for residents.
