Purchased in 1987 with equity from local community investors, 4831 Conrad was refinanced and rehabilitated with funding from the Community Investment Corporation (CIC) in 1997. The 4845 building was purchased thanks to a property donation from Ms. Martha Drake. The two neighboring properties were refinanced and rehabilitated in 2008 with funding from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act through IHDA. All mechanical systems were replaced and apartments were upgraded including creating handicap accessible units.
