The tenants of HODC’s Heart’s Place, a supportive housing development for people living with a disability, came together to create a mural in the hallway of their main entrance.

On Wednesday, June 14th, the tenants showed their completed artwork during an unveiling event to local community leaders, friends, and family. They were joined by State Senator Ann Gillespie, State Representative Mary Beth Canty, and Arlington Heights Trustees Wendy Dunnington, Nicolle Grasse, Robin LaBedz, and Scott Shirley. Mural Project Leader, Colleen Koziara from Beyond Bingo, was on hand to explain how the tenants decided on what to include in the mural and participated in the painting. Members of HODC’s board of directors and staff were on hand to help celebrate.
