Cook County Neighborhood Stabilization Program

Hanover Park and Streamwood, IL

In order to help address the foreclosure crisis, HODC applied for and received funding from the Cook County Neighborhood Stabilization Program in 2010 to purchase foreclosed homes. HODC was able to acquire a townhome in Streamwood that has two-bedrooms with a large kitchen, living room, and gated back yard. In addition, a four-bedroom single-family home in Hanover Park was purchased and completely renovated. The properties were donated to the WINGS Program in 2014 to provide housing for formerly homeless women with children.
