On May 20, 2022, we celebrated our new permanent home in Skokie and Affordable Housing Awareness Month. We were joined by over 50 our closest friends, neighbors, and community leaders.
The Ribbon Cutting Ceremony featured special guest George Van Dusen, Mayor of Skokie, and was emceed by Howard Meyer, President and CEO of the Skokie Chamber of Commerce and Industry. President of the HODC’s Board of Directors, William Sholten, and HODC tenant Zuanetta Ratliff also spoke. Attendees had the opportunity to win gifts and gift cards donated by local business, feast on treats from Skokie’s Kneads & Wants, tour HODC’s offices, and meet our staff.
